Fantastic idea

So, I think that after the first few issues, or maybe as part of a parallel storyline, I'll try out the idea of a World's Finest type book. McKnight and Nightblade would be the main focus of this book. The 250 year-old soldier and the Israeli assassin. How does that sound? Any thoughts?

Progress update

As previously posted, there's now a cover for the first issue. I'm working with an amateur artist in Texas for the interior art and trying to decide on whether I should self-publish, submit to a creator-owned company, or do both and see which one helps the most. It may be that I do both and just use the self-publishing as a kind of marketing opportunity.

Update

So, I've got the first cover now and have someone working on a new commission and hopefully the interior art for the first issue.

Here's a shot of the cover art.

This is is what you can expect the interior art to look like.

Character updates and a vote

So basically, in the last few weeks, I've been doing some moderate redesigns on a few characters. Don't worry though, most are staying the same. The ones I'll be changing are; McKnight, Lee Norris, Overlord and Morningstar. On the first, McKnight, I will put it up to a vote. You will get several options to choose from. The items I will be changing are: the mask, emblem, wether or not to include the badge, a possible Red Hood style leather jacket and the style of the body armor. The sheer vastyness (that should be a word; points for whoever can answer where I got the word from) of the design is the reason for the vote. Choose from either of the seven visual options given. Mark your vote as the # next to each photo.

Exotic Locales and Headquarters

Exotic Locales and Headquarters

Here are a "few" ideas I've had for interesting places for the group to end up.
  1. Ireland
  2. Scotland
  3. Rome, Italy (this one dude would be a freakin' GOD there)
  4. Athens, Greece (same for another dude, except he's actually a demi-god)
  5. Prague, Czech Republic
  6. Moscow or St. Petersburg
  7. South Africa
  8. Israel
  9. Casablanca, Morocco
  10. Nicaragua
The Headquarters and most of the story will be set on California's Central Coast.  It will be from up in San Francisco to down in San Luis Obispo (SLO), though centralized in Monterey and Seaside.  The main base will be in old barracks on the former Fort Ord army base and in the tunnels running beneath them.  I have plans for the next 3 issues and explanations for how everyone in the roster came to live in the area they did.  If anyone has ideas for vehicle designs or signature weapons for McKnight and Overlord, please comment.  Also, if you want mini bios and character profiles for characters, let me know which ones in the comment section and I'll try to post them on here.

It Begins....At Some Point....Eventually

It Begins....At Some Point....Eventually

I've now spent damn near a year and a half putting together everything required for a comic book series, the origin stories and spin-offs.  I've got the first issue completed, have 17 pages and counting on issue 2 and have plans for issues 3 and 4.  There are some interesting and geeky one-liners and pop culture references.  Just Sayan.  (See what I did there?)  There are immortals, Romans, werewolves, demi-gods, ninjas and Chuck Norris' cousin.  Also, there's the devil, an Irish dude, a cyborg an evil Canadian.  Yeah, they exist.  (Justin Bieber is a sleeper agent, I swear. Okay, for legal reasons I don't mean that.)  Anyway, I'll keep posting information on it as things progress.
